Literally everything on the menu is freshly prepared and handmade everyday from salsas, beans, rice to ever growing choices of meat. We take pride in delivering the highest quality of authentic Mexican street foods from “try it once, you’re hooked for life” barbacoa tacos to "melt in your mouth” enchiladas and everything in between. Not so color-coded salsas begin with freshest ingredients found in Mexico such as don’t touch your eyes habanero, crisp cilantro and plump juicy tomatoes make up the trinity of salsas…rojas, verde and firey habanero! We believe in the old saying “why try to reinvent the wheel”. We see so many fancy taquerias popping up trying to reinvent street tacos. Instead, we try to keep it simple and stick to the street Mexican foods we all grew up eating from hole-in-the-wall joints to tiny carts that magically appear at night.
Sam Osee, the owner/operator, tells a story of how his father who owns a small retail property asking him a question one day. “I can’t seem to lease out that bar space that went out of business last year. What should I do with that space?” Sam immediately asked his father for six months of free rent for him to start a restaurant. In the fall of 2012, Sam opened TACOLICIOUS on Royal Lane in North Dallas. Within two years of operations,TACOLICIOUS built its reputation and loyal following based on contagious food and exceptional service. In an extremely fierce competitive Dallas taco market,TACOLICIOUS received recognition through traditional media as well as social media as soon as the first taco plate was served!
Sam wanted to experiment and put the concept to the test of an idea “bring the authentic Mexican street tacos to non-Hispanic population”. Sam understood this was a tall order. Starting another restaurant and paying rent from Day1 (unlike TACOLICIOUS) was not an easy task. Believing that great food that everyone can easily adapt and simple idea of friendly service, Sam opened TACORIA TACOS in April of 2014 in Carrollton, TX. God must be smiling down from above because TACORIA TACOS posted black from first month and never looked back! Surrounded by white collar population a long with non-hispanic demographics, TACORIA TACOS has received with positive feedbacks and continues to build a mob of loyal followers.
